  Soooo, this whole boyfriend-going-away-for-a-month-thing sucks. Mostly because he’s going to be gone for all of the good shows I wanted to go to this summer (Andrew Bird, The Head and the Heart, Sharon Van Etten). I either need to make new friends (which I suck at) or go to all of these by myself. Yay? At least we get to see The Shins together on Wednesday :)

  Went to the East Lansing Art Festival today with Nic & Emma. It was cute, but unbearably warm, and now I have very red shoulders :/ Also, Emma is adorable, is she not?

  Found a new favorite spot on campus the other day. It’s surrounded by flowers and trees with old stone tables and benches. I think I’m going to like taking summer classes after all..

  Moving into my new apartment in this heat BY MYSELF was terrible. Especially because I’m weak and I own far too many things. And I found out I might have failed econ this semester. On the bright side, I’m halfway through college. I guess that’s something to be happy about?

  I can’t wait for this to happen again in August. My family from all over the country gets together at my cottage on Lake Superior and we just eat a shit ton of really good food, drink lots of beer, play games, go swimming, and laugh a lot. It’s the best time of the year.
